Stephanie Cadieux

Surrey South Candidate

Two-term MLA and cabinet minister Stephanie Cadieux is the BC Liberal candidate for Surrey South in the 2017 provincial election.

First elected in 2009, Cadieux has been Minister of Children and Family Development since 2012. Over the past seven years she has also served as Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development, Minister of Labour, Citizen Services, and Open Government, and Minister of Social Development.

Prior to provincial politics, Cadieux worked with the BC Paraplegic Association as director of marketing and development, and was the Manager of Accessibility for 2010 Legacies Now. Cadieux is a longtime active volunteer, serving as President of the Realwheels Society, as a member of the advisory panel with International Collaboration on Repair Discoveries (ICORD), and as a mentor with the Y.W.C.A.

Cadieux and her husband have lived in Surrey for 14 years. She enjoys sailing and travel.
