Naomi Yamamoto

North Vancouver-Lonsdale Candidate

Naomi Yamamoto is the BC Liberal candidate for North Vancouver-Lonsdale in the 2017 provincial election. Yamamoto was first elected as MLA in 2009 and re-elected in 2013.

Yamamoto currently serves as Minister of State for Emergency Preparedness. Previously she served as Minister of State for Tourism and Small Business, Minister of Advanced Education, Minister of State for Intergovernmental Relations, and Minister of State for Building Code Renewal.

Before being elected to the Legislature, Yamamoto owned and operated Tora Design Group in North Vancouver for 21 years. She served on the boards of the North Shore Credit Union, Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, Gordon and Marion Smith Foundation, Capilano College (now Capilano University), the North Shore Neighbourhood House, and was Chair of the BC Chamber of Commerce.
