East Van Chan Takes Budget 2017 to Vancouver-Kensington
BC Liberal candidate Kim Chan Logan will take BC’s Balanced Budget 2017 to Vancouver Kensington businesses to discuss how they can benefit from government’s prudent fiscal management that makes small businesses more competitive and cuts costs for middle-class families and seniors.
“Budget 2017 puts more money back into the pockets of families, seniors and small businesses and takes important steps to make life more affordable for people living and working in Vancouver Kensington,” said Chan Logan, adding she will be discussing the budget with businesses and residents in the months ahead. “I want to ensure businesses and citizens in this riding have a real voice at the table so it is important to me to engage with them on Budget 2017.”
In the coming weeks, Chan Logan will meet with the Victoria Drive Business Improvement Association and the South Hill Business Improvement Association to discuss how Balanced Budget 2017 benefits small business and to hear feedback from local business owners.
Among other initiatives announced in the budget, Chan Logan says cutting Medical Service Premiums in half for many families and seniors in Vancouver Kensington will go a long way.
“Citizens across Vancouver Kensington are telling me that strong economic growth, low taxes and making life more affordable are among their top priorities,” said Chan Logan. “Cutting MSP premiums in half for families with net incomes up to $120,000 will go a long way to help a lot of people in Vancouver Kensington.”
