Campaign Director’s Update: April 2

I’m pleased and proud to announce that Today’s BC Liberals now have all 87 candidates in place for the May 9th election. With the acclamation of three more stellar additions this week, we’re fielding our strongest team yet.

40 percent of our candidates are women – more than ever before – and eight are under 40, all with critical viewpoints, including young parents, social innovators and professionals, plus two UBC students – one completing her PhD; the other her first degree. For the first time, we have three widely respected Indigenous leaders on our team. And in their careers, cultural backgrounds, and perspectives, our team represents the full and wonderful complexity of British Columbia.

Oh – and we didn’t need any quotas to get there.

We have built this team around the leadership of Premier Christy Clark, and backed it with an army of energized, well-trained, and determined volunteers. We’re armed with a plan that has delivered the strongest economy and job creation in Canada, and ready to build a bright future for BC.

Whether we earn that privilege will depend on how hard we’re willing to work for it – to ensure British Columbians know what’s on the line in this election.

It’s a clear choice: jobs, opportunity, and a bright future with Premier Christy Clark and Today’s BC Liberals. Or job-killing, tax-hiking, big-spending schemes with those other guys.

We have more hard work ahead — but on behalf of all of us here at HQ, I want to say thank you.

For the months (and years) of work many of you have put in to get us strong and ready for the fight ahead.

And for the work you will do in the next 37 days to make sure we keep BC on track.

Let’s work and win.
