Baking a Difference for the BCSPCA
On February 29th, our Caucus team in Victoria baked up 100+ cupcakes for National Cupcake Day, which raises vital funds for the SPCA from teams across Canada.
Thanks to the leadership of MLA John Martin (Chilliwack), and the kindness of 167 members, we were able to raise $2,042 – which is $1,000 higher than our target. These funds will directly support animals and shelters in need across British Columbia.
These team-building events are a great way to support something we care about while connecting with other members and British Columbians who share our interests. Between Terry Fox Day, Movember, Pink Shirt Day, and SPCA Cupcake day, it’s clear that our Party and its members have heart – and that when we work together, we can really make a difference.

National Cupcake Day may have come and gone, but it’s still possible to support BC’s animal shelters year-round. You can make a donation in cash or in supplies (pet food, blankets and chew toys) to the SPCA here, or find out how to get involved by volunteering. Either way, you’ll be making a difference in the lives of animals in need and those who dedicate their lives to care for them.
