BC Liberals nominate Brennan Day as next candidate for Courtenay-Comox

COURTENAY-COMOX — Local entrepreneur Brennan Day was officially nominated as the next BC Liberal candidate for Courtenay-Comox on August 10.

With a diverse background in the energy sector and managing large natural resource projects around the world, Day is ready to put his expertise to work as the next MLA for Courtenay-Comox.

The riding was among the most competitive In the 2017 election, with the NDP incumbent elected by a margin of just 189 votes.

“It is an honour to be the next BC Liberal candidate for Courtenay-Comox — a riding that will be watched from throughout the province, ” said Day. “As we prepare for an election that the NDP could trigger as early as this fall, I can’t wait to start meeting constituents and getting their feedback on how we can kickstart BC’s economic recovery.”

Day’s nomination on August 10 will be followed by Karin Kirkpatrick in West Vancouver-Capilano, who will officially be nominated on August 12.

Brennan Day, BC Liberal Candidate for Courtenay-Comox

Candidate Biography:

With a background in energy, management, and entrepreneurship, Brennan Day is a dedicated and versatile professional with a passion for community service.

At 21, Brennan took an offer for a summer internship for a local drilling company in Kazakhstan and worked his way to become Field Superintendent, managing 400 personnel.

From there, Brennan and his wife acquired a Calgary-based drilling company to provide training, management, and parts support to other overseas drilling operations.

His family settled down in the Comox Valley, where he has had the opportunity to bring his expertise to a local concrete supplier.

With a passion for free enterprise values and fiscal responsibility, Brennan is dedicated to providing representation and opportunity for the residents of Courtenay-Comox.

Brennan lives in the Comox Valley with his wife, Jennifer, and their 3 year old son Lochlan.
