Jobs
Your B.C. Liberal Party knows that every job is important to the family that depends on it. Through strong economic policies and targeted investments, we can support job creation throughout the province.

The B.C. Liberal Record

We're investing $14 billion over the next three years in infrastructure projects that will generate an estimated 88,000 new jobs.

Accelerated infrastructure investments will get people to work on projects over the next few months.

Hundreds of thousands of new jobs have been created in B.C. since 2001.

The province's unemployment rate has hit 30-year record lows, and B.C.'s unemployment rate continues to be below the national average.

The youth unemployment rate is half what it was a decade ago.

The NDP Record

Carole James and the NDP want to put an end to the independent power industry which creates thousands of rural jobs.

Carole James opposed the Olympics, which is creating 244,000 jobs.

NDP wage policy would put tens of thousands of jobs at risk.

The NDP called for a boycott of BC farmed fish; a boycott would destroy the aquaculture industry and 4000 jobs.

Carole James' opposition to TILMA would prevent the creation of 48,000 jobs.

Under the NDP, B.C. ranked last in private sector job creation per capita in the country and B.C. had the highest unemployment rate of all the Western provinces.
