We all make choices and trade-offs every day. We try to balance our household expenses with our incomes and our personal goals. We make decisions that affect our homes, our families and our futures. Planning British Columbia's budget is no different. And it's with your help that the best choices are made.
As consultations continue on your priorities for Budget 2010, we want to hear about your ideas for a better, stronger British Columbia.
This year, as in previous years, there is an opportunity to submit your thoughts for Budget 2010 through a brief online survey.

British Columbia faces significant economic challenges. But despite difficult times, the BC Liberal government is committed to protecting vital services and building a stronger British Columbia. Today, government spending on health, education and social services represents approximately 75 per cent of all government spending. That spending includes record funding for health care (that's scheduled to increase by 18 per cent more over the next three years) and record per student education funding. At the same time tax reduction measures mean that British Columbians earning up to $118,000 annually pay the lowest provincial personal income taxes in Canada.
For the past nine years, the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services has held public consultations on the budget priorities of British Columbians. Please take a moment to participate in this survey so you can make your voice heard on your priorities for Budget 2010.
