- Highest per student funding in history - $1,716 more since 2000-01.
- Highest K-12 education funding in history - $5.494-billion education budget – a 19.18 per cent increase from 2000-01.
- New funding this year to eliminate textbook shortages and to ensure access to school library services for every child in B.C.
- $1.5 billion plan to complete all required seismic (earthquake) upgrading of B.C.’s public schools
- 25,000 new post-secondary spaces in addition to the nearly 6,000 spaces added since 2001
- The largest expansion of post-secondary spaces in 40 years, with new universities in Kamloops and Kelowna, a new SFU campus in Surrey and expansions to colleges and institutes across B.C.
- 29% increase in number of apprentices enrolled today over 2004
- $196 million increase in annual funding for post-secondary education by 2007
- Over $800 million for capital improvements over the next three years
- New student financial assistance programs introduced and tuition increases capped at rate of inflation
