Approximately 2,000 forest workers have jobs today harvesting timber – jobs that would disappear under the NDP’s disastrous forest policies.

Premier Gordon Campbell joined Chilliwack candidates John Les and Barry Penner on a tour of IMW, a manufacturer of compressed natural gas equipment. The company, based in Chilliwack, has undergone a huge expansion in the past three years, and now sell products worldwide. Using compressed natural gas in trucks and transit reduces greenhouse gas emissions, as natural gas is the cleanest-burning fossil fuel. IMW is supplying the equipment to fuel TransLink’s new fleet of CNG clean buses.
