Elections BC upholds mandate to keep voters list
current and accurate
British Columbia has maintained a continuous voters list for more than 70 years, and the first jurisdiction in Canada with a computerized voters list. Voter registration and list maintenance are important parts of our day-to-day operations.
Voter registration information must include a voter’s name, date of birth and residential and mailing address. The Election Actrestricts the use of the voters list, and voters are assured that their personal information will be protected.
