Information for BC Liberal Party members regarding the candidate selection process for the 2009 general election.
How will I be notified of my local candidate selection meeting?
All Party members eligible to vote at a candidate selection meeting of their local constituency will be alerted by mail prior to the date of the meeting.
Who has a right to vote at the meeting?
Every member of the Party who lives in the electoral district for the candidate meeting has the right to attend, and has the right to vote at that meeting if that member:
(a) is present at the meeting;
(b) has been a member of the Party in good standing at least 42-days prior to the meeting;
(c) has not voted at another candidate selection meeting held for the same election.
Non-resident members of the Riding Association are not entitled to vote.

(INCLUDING PROOF OF AGE FOR YOUTH)
Acceptable Identification:
Two pieces of ID, one photo, one with his/her address.
- Examples of acceptable photo ID is a BC drivers licence, passport, government issued ID or a student card from a recognized educational facility.
The address must match the address on the membership list.
- Examples of acceptable ID are drivers licence, tax notice, voter ID card, etc.
