VANCOUVER - Carole Taylor, well-known and nationally respected Chair of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, today announced her intention to seek the BC Liberal nomination in Vancouver-Langara.
Premier Gordon Campbell, who introduced the Order of Canada recipient said, “I could not be happier. I have always been impressed with Carole’s leadership abilities, her integrity, her tenacity and her capacity to see through complexity to solutions that bring people together. She nurtures new ideas and has a great ability to find the best in people. She will be an important member of our team as we move into the golden decade that lies ahead.”
Taylor said, “I have always believed in the importance of public life. I have worked closely with our multicultural and regional communities to strengthen our country and our province. I would like to contribute to the momentum that is building here, not just for the good of the province but for the good of the country as well. I hope the people of Vancouver- Langara will give me the opportunity to serve them as an elected representative once more as their Member of the Legislative Assembly.”
