According to Statistics Canada's September Labour Force Survey, employment in British Columbia increased by 13,000 jobs in September, including over 25,000 full-time positions. These gains were concentrated in educational services, construction, and in health care and social assistance.
Accompanying the job growth in September was a corresponding drop in the unemployment rate. In fact, the unemployment rate fell a full 0.6% last month and now sits at 7.1%
